Anya Gallaccio House, London 2005

Residence redeveloped in collaboration with the artist Anya Gallaccio.

The project reflects Anya’s interest in nature with 9 different types of wood which reflect time and change through reclaimed timber with variety of grain and texture.  All flooring was a reclaimed mahogany parkett. The kitchen and hall cupboard were reconfigured as efficient storage units clad with old pine floor boards. The sliding kitchen door is a black chalkboard.  The living room wall was opened completely to the garden with an exposed steel portal frame and window extended a meter into the garden.
